Andrew was recommended to us by our accountant Laurence Cohen at Gordon Brown accountants when we moved to Cardiff some years ago. Initially he helped us to move from an accounts manager based in London whom we found distant, both physically and sympathetically.

I was introduced to Andrew through a good friend of mine shortly after my sister in law had died at 41 years of age leaving her ex husband to care for her 2 teenage daughters. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that at the time of her death she had no life insurance or savings and had no assets. Not even enough to pay for her funeral. I have always believed in insurance and observing the financial stress at first hand that my sister in law’s early death had caused, I decided to check my own insurance cover which had been arranged many years previously. I found that I had a huge gap in cover and decided to speak to somebody that could give me sound, professional financial advice. Andrew’s advice and detailed product knowledge had ensured that I had purchased an insurance policy that met my demands and needs and left me with the confidence that in the event that anything should happen to me, my family would experience only minimal financial stress and would always have a roof over their heads.

The policy was taken out 5 years ago and being a very fit and healthy 55 year old at the time, I never thought that I would have to make a claim. Unfortunately, I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and whilst this condition can be controlled for many years, the diagnosis came as a shock and made my future a little more uncertain. I checked my Aviva policy and found that my medical condition is covered as a critical illness. Aviva have been excellent and agreed to pay the full sum assured within 6 weeks of my diagnosis. This has allowed me to reduce my hours in work and spend more quality time with my family.

Based on my experience I would recommend Andrew to anybody that requires sound, professional financial advice. Without his product knowledge and patience I may not have taken out the more comprehensive cover with Aviva and would now be faced with coping with the stress of my progressive medical condition and continuing to work long hours to pay the mortgage and associated bills. Instead, a lot of my financial worry has gone leaving me to concentrate on spending more time doing the really important things in life.
